Copper Capers Plague Jail

I know copper prices are high and it's disappearing everywhere, but man it's bad when a jail under construction isn't safe!  I love the last line of this article."

"Even before it's opening, the Blue Ridge Regional Jail under construction has played host to criminals.

Instead of staying in the prefabricated cement cells, these outlaws are stealing the guts of the building - its copper wiring and fixtures.

The new jail, under construction has been hit four times in the past two months.

It takes a few days to replace the new copper wiring and plumbing fixtures that had been sitting on the site waiting to be installed.  It disrupts the planning and scheduling.

No arrests have been made in these incidents, but a warning has been issued for those responsible: "The thieves may just end up becoming the jail's first residents."
