"As a growing company, we were unsure about some of the markets we were moving into. Protos was there to assist us with a professional security team as we opened over 20 locations. We can't thank them enough for their support in our new markets."
BJ’s Staffers Credited for Nabbing Woman Wanted in Theft Cases
Loss prevention should be a company-wide practice of watching for suspicious behavior and always paying attention to notices that are received as warnings of potential dangers to the store or its staff. This is a good story of how any employee can make a difference and I am glad these employees took action.
"Loss prevention employees at BJ's Whoelsale Club are being credited with nabbing a New York woman trying to buy nearly $1,200 worth of merchandise with a fraudulent credit card.
Crystal Taylor, 44, of Brooklyn was arrested after she fled the BJ's Wholesale Club on Route 35, when store employees began to scrutinize the credit card she was using to buy $1,179 worth of merchandise including a 40-inch television.
The employees recognized Taylor while she was shopping in the store after a notice was distributed to all BJ's stores alerting that she used fraudulent credit cards in other locations in New York and New Jersey. The loss prevention employees called police to report Taylor was leaving the area in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with New York registration.
Taylor was founnd in possession of six fraudulent credit cards, a stolen BJ's membership card, and a fraudulent Washington, D.C. driver's license."
